The girls can change their shape, like you saw. But she knew things were only going to get harder. I’m having flashbacks of New Moon. Or does she truly believe in what she was told about the curse?
We got plenty of it in Wake, but in this book, Hocking gets deeper and we get to know even more about the curse, and it was all very interesting. hockjng
Jesse Burgoyne November 29, at As we travel with Gemma and the sirens, we are plo to more characters and more betrayals. In the second book we get more details about sirens and what it means to be a siren. In fact, all of the characters were great — including the evil ones. Book Review: Lullaby – Amanda Hocking
But I think you never doubted this anyway. So I wasn’t convinced.
I must say I’m glad I’m going to be able to go on to the next book as soon as I’m done with this review, because I need to know what is going on. When Harper turned back to her own room, she nearly yelped in surprise. When you like the first book in a series, you look forward to reading the second installment.
I enjoyed the first one in the series better. What Alex said made sense. I’m not really that angry about it, ev I remember vaguely liking the first book, but this one was not for me. And I want to grab them by the hair and bang them on a wall praying that it will give then some new perspective!

Lullaby by Amanda Hocking
And according to sirens, the curse is unbreakable. The first half of the book is extremely slow, uneventful and boring as hell but the other half progressed mercifully quickly. We love hearing from you, your hockint mean a lot to us. Daniel is teaching Harper that she may have had to play the mummy luplaby with Gemma, but he is a big boy. Of course, we readers know exactly what they are and what they do, but Harper, Alex and Daniel don’t so we are forced to sit through their mythology Google searches and wild guesses.
So her sister, Harper, must go home and tell their dad that she ran away. Harper and Gemma end up having a lot on their shoulders in this book though. My respect for ananda grew in this book.
It had a cliffhanger at the end and there weren’t really any “twists” to make the After reading Wake, I basically devoured Lullaby right away. Daniel is still trying to get through to Harper, it is so amanra to both of them that there is a spark, but Harper doesn’t want to luplaby to worry about Daniel. Harper with the help of her friends manages to track Gemma.
It was all so out of proportion. Though confident in her decision to protect the ones she loves by leaving them behind, Gemma is increasingly unsure that she will be able to lullabt the powerful urge to kill in order to survive.
Instead of telling us how Harper’s coping without Gemma, show us by making her fret about laundry or something. They fell in “love” way too quickly for me to grasp it.
Harper and her team are trying their best to trace Gemma. Oh I love those quotes! Harper and Alex eventually get a lead to Gemma. It bugs me to leave a story unfinished let alone a series, so I finished Lullaby in no time. Gemma had left her cell phone behind, lullayb if she called, it would be from an unfamiliar number.
Gemma leaves with sirens to protect Harper, Daniel lulaby Alex, who came to her rescue in the first book. So, maybe what really pushes me away is the telling vs showing. Another creepy installment in this mermaid saga!
There are gaping holes in the plot, such as the inclusion of Greek mythology Alex wakes up hating Amnda without having any valid reason to do so.
